Sarah Polley's 'Take This Waltz' to close 23rd edition of Cinéfest Sudbury

Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival is thrilled to announce that Sarah Polley’s film Take This Waltz will close the 23rd edition of Cinéfest Sudbury. Take This Waltz will screen September 25th at 7:00 p.m. at SilverCity Sudbury. The film screening will be attended by the director Sarah Polley. There will be a catered reception following the film at Bryson’s on the Park 5 Creighton Rd, Copper Cliff at 9:00 p.m.

From the moment Margot (Michelle Williams) meets Daniel (Luke Kirby), their chemistry is intense and immediate. But Margot suppresses her sudden attraction: she is happily married to Lou (Seth Rogen), a celebrated cookbook writer. When Margot learns that Daniel lives across the street from them, the certainty about her domestic life shatters. She and Daniel steal moments throughout the steaming Toronto summer, their eroticism heightened by their restraint. Margot finally gives in to desire and in doing so, discovers some unsettling truths about herself. Featuring a star studded cast of Michelle Williams (nominated for Best Actress in the 2010 Academy Awards for her performance in Blue Valentine), Seth Rogan (Pineapple Express, Funny People, Knocked Up), Luke Kirby (Luck, Mambo Italiano, The Stone Angel) and Sarah Silverman (School of Rock), Take This Waltz represents a triumphant return to Cinéfest by director Sarah Polley. Sarah Polley’s debut directorial effort Away From Her garnered much buzz from critics and audiences alike. Appearing as Cinéfest Sudbury’s 2006 Closing Gala Polley took home the prize for Best First Feature. Sarah Polley will be in attendance for this Gala presentation.
