Cinéfest Sudbury Film Series is set to return in 2012 and will kick off the New Year with a screening of Oranges and Sunshine on January 26th at SilverCity Sudbury at 7pm.
From the Oscar® winning producers of The King's Speech and starring Emily Watson, David Wenham and Hugo Weaving, Oranges and Sunshine tells the story of Margaret Humphreys, a social worker from Nottingham, who uncovered one of the most significant social scandels in recent times: the organized deportation of children in care from the United Kingdom to Australia.

Cinéfest Sudbury is pleased to announce its second screening of 2012. Le vendeur (The Salesman) will screen on February 23rd at SilverCity Sudbury at 7pm.
Director Sébastien Pilote's feature film is the story of Marcel Lévesque (Gilbert Sicotte), a quick-witted car salesman nearing retirement, who lives to sell. Cinéfest Sudbury is pleased to announce its third screening of 2012. Edwin Boyd: Citizen Gangster will screen on March 29th at SilverCity Sudbury at 7pm.

Cinéfest Sudbury is pleased to announce that the Tournée canadienne des Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois – a tour which brings the best of Quebec cinema to movie lovers and French-speaking audiences all over Canada – will make its stop in Sudbury from April 30th to May 1st. Films presented as part of this two day event will be André Forcier’s Coteau Rouge and Yves Sioui Durand’s Mesnak.
Both films will be presented in French with English subtitles.
