We are now accepting submissions for the 2010 edition of Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival. Cinéfest Sudbury is committed to supporting and promoting awareness, appreciation and understanding of Canadian and International cinema, and screens features, shorts, documentaries and animations of varying lengths, genres and styles. The 22nd edition of Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival will take place September 18th – 26th, 2010 in Sudbury, Ontario.

ENTRY DEADLINES AND FEES:
The Earlybird Submissions Deadline is April 30, 2010. The entry fee for Earlybird Submissions is $20.00.
The Regular Submissions Deadline is June 25, 2010. The entry fee for Regular Submissions is $25.00.
The Late Submissions Deadline is July 16, 2010. The entry fee for Late Submissions is $60.00.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
SUBMISSION FORMATS: For programming consideration, Cinéfest Sudbury accepts DVD (Region 0 or 1). Submission material will be returned only if the sender includes a self-addressed stamped envelope. Your videocassette or DVD must be labeled with the title, running time, format and return address.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION:

  • Films are selected on the basis of achievement in form and content.

  • The Festival presentation formats are composite 35mm film print, Digibeta (NTSC or PAL) Betacam SP (NTSC or PAL) only.

  • All selected films must be made available to screen by September 1st, 2010.

  • Films must be in English or in the film’s original language with English subtitles.

  • Available press materials must be shipped to Cinéfest Sudbury upon notification of selection.

  • Upon selection, the entrant grants permission for the use of all publicity materials (including preview discs) for promotional purposes.

SCHEDULING: Upon acceptance into the Festival, the scheduling of screening dates, times and locations is at the sole discretion of Cinéfest Sudbury. Submissions and payments for applicable entry fees can also be made through:
