As Cinéfest Sudbury plays host to an increasing number of patrons and industry guests it is important that volunteers serve as ambassadors for both the Festival and the City of Greater Sudbury. Volunteers with an aptitude for customer service are required to assist in a number of ways.
Without the assistance of our amazing volunteers, the Festival would not have reached its current level of excellence. If you have some time to contribute, please consider the options we have available.

Duties include: answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, providing Festival information to the public, assisting with delivery of programs, ticket sales and orders, preparation of mail-outs, and other office errands.
Duties include: assisting with ticket sales during the Festival and answering patrons' questions regarding films, scheduling, events, etc.
Duties include: taking tickets, controlling line ups, ushering patrons and cleaning up after screenings. Ushers will also be required to set up displays and signs at the theatre and answer patrons' questions.
Duties include: assisting Festival staff with registration of special guests and Industry Forum attendees, answering questions of guests and patrons regarding the City, Festival, and Industry Forum, organizing promotional material, and various errands.
'SmartServe' certification is an asset. Duties include: decorating venues, creating displays, clean up, ushering VIPs, serving food and drinks, restocking the bar area.
'SmartServe' certification is required. Duties include: maintaining an air of authority while presenting yourself in a polite and friendly manner, checking all guests for proper passes, carding patrons for entry into age restricted events and crowd control. Security should be able to deal quickly and efficiently with any situations that may arise.
Duties include: photographing various aspects of the Festival.
A valid driver's license is required. Couriers must obey all rules of the road and treat guests in a courteous and friendly manner. Guest Couriers should be intimately familiar with the City as well as all Festival venues. A vehicle is provided.
A valid driver's license is required. Duties include: working with Festival staff to organize film distribution and shipping. Film Couriers will also be required to handle with deliveries to and from SilverCity, Cinéfest's office, and various delivery depots throughout the city.
Duties include: selling tickets, verifying winning cards, clean up. This is a year-round activity.
